On a raw November day in 1977, a makeshift ring was built behind a Montauk bar. Local legends and tough guys stepped through the ropes to throw down for pride, for show, and for the hell of it. G&S gear on their fists. A crowd wrapped around the ring. Photographer Tom Watson caught it all—until the film ran out. What happened next? No one’s quite sure. That’s part of the legend.
